A new report shows Theresa Greenfield doesn’t actually mean what she says when she complains about “corruption” on the campaign trail.
Greenfield is currently raising money with U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and has taken $10,000 from his PAC. What’s so controversial about Menendez? Nothing, unless you count being indicted by the Department of Justice in 2015 for eight counts of bribery and several other counts of honest services fraud, conspiracy, and violating the travel act.
Menendez was also “severely admonished” by the Ethics Committee for having “knowingly and repeatedly accepted gifts of significant value” and using his “position as a Member of the Senate to advance [his criminal co-conspirator’s] personal and business interests.”
Seems pretty corrupt!
If Greenfield wants to keep repeating the “corruption” talking points provided to her by DC Democrats on the campaign trail, she must immediately:
- Apologize for raising money with a corrupt U.S. Senator
- Disclose how much money in total she has raised with the corrupt U.S. Senator
- Give back the money she raised with the corrupt U.S. Senator
Otherwise, we’ll know Greenfield is just regurgitating talking points she doesn’t actually believe and isn’t actually adhering to. You know, the sort of thing a typical, hypocritical politician might do!
