After getting called out by The Tampa Bay Times for attacking Gov. Rick Scott over a position that Sen. Bill Nelson himself supports, Nelson had to publicly reveal that he could not remember his position on the issue.
Nelson and his caretakers have been attacking Scott for wanting the EPA to delay a new water standards rule, but it turned out Nelson had written “a strikingly similar letter to the EPA, before Scott.” When asked about the apparent hypocrisy, Nelson was forced to admit “he did not recall writing it and said he would have to look into its origins.”
“It’s time for Bill Nelson’s caretakers to keep better tabs on the Senator’s whereabouts and public statements so that he is not embarrassed into admitting he’s no longer dealing from a full deck.” –Senate Leadership Fund Spokesman Chris Pack
