Booker Plays Hooky to Sit Front Row at Bob Menendez Trial

According to The New York Post, Cory Booker skipped work today to sit front row “in a show of support” of Bob Menendez during the first day of his public corruption trial. Menendez is accused of accepting bribes from a crooked eye doctor in exchange for government favors.

While Booker was playing hooky, he missed two committee hearings.  The Senate Foreign Relations Committee held a hearing titled, “Priorities and Challenges in the U.S.-Turkey Relationship, and The Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee held a hearing titled, “Addressing the Risk of Waste, Fraud and Abuse in the Federal Communications Commission’s Lifeline Program.

At least now we know where Booker’s priorities lie ahead of 2020…
