This morning Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema drew a hard line on the Bernie Sanders-authored $3.5 trillion spending plan, saying through a spokesman that “she will not support a budget reconciliation bill that costs $3.5 trillion.”
POLITICO: Sinema: I simply won’t back a $3.5T spending bill
Offering crickets is Sinema’s fellow Arizona Democrat Mark Kelly, who has bobbed and weaved around taking positions on issue after issue since arriving in the Senate this year.
Since Kelly’s favorite response to questions about his positions seems to be that he will “do what’s best for Arizona,” maybe reporters should ask: does Kelly think Sinema’s hard line against Bernie Sanders’ $3.5 trillion budget-busting plan is in the best interest of Arizona?
We’ll be eagerly awaiting a response – as will the voters of Arizona that elected Kelly to make decisions in the Senate.
