Mark Kelly promised to support Arizona with targeted COVID relief as a candidate. As a Senator, he just voted for a $1.9 trillion liberal boondoggle packing in unrelated items from progressive wish lists that have nothing to do with beating the virus.
According to estimates by the Office of the Senate Republican Leader, less than 9% of money in the $1.9 trillion package will go toward the healthcare fight against COVID-19. Less than 1% goes toward vaccinations.
The boondoggle contains a litany of Democratic wish list priorities, including giving Planned Parenthood access to taxpayer-backed PPP loans, allowing taxpayer-funded stimulus checks to go to families of illegal immigrants, and sending tens of millions of dollars to left-wing environmental groups.
Senator Lisa Murkowski recently complained she “can’t stand… that we are considering $1.9 trillion much of which is not specifically focused on COVID relief.” But even though this bill is a mess, Mark Kelly just put his stamp of approval on it. This is more evidence that Mark Kelly is just a rubber stamp for out of touch liberals and not Arizona.
