Yesterday, Amy McGrath’s claims that she could do more to work with President Trump than Leader McConnell drew laughs and derision.
Now, she’s doubling down: this time, flip-flopping on whether she would have supported Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
This was McGrath just last year:
Now that the political winds have shifted, she’s changing her tune. She now tells the Louisville Courier-Journal: “…so I don’t think there was anything that would have disqualified him in my mind. You know, I think that with Judge Kavanaugh, yeah, I probably would have voted for him.”
As a reminder, McGrath repeatedly lied about her positions in public while taking hard-left positions in private fundraisers. McGrath was caught claiming she was “more progressive than anyone in the state of Kentucky” and comparing the election of Donald Trump to 9/11.
“Amy McGrath is a political phony who will shamelessly lie for votes. Kentuckians rejected her because they realize who she is in private – ‘more progressive than anyone in the state of Kentucky’ – is more accurate than the carefully-constructed consultant facade she’s hawking in public.” -SLF Communications Director Jack Pandol
