It’s bad enough that Florida Congresswoman Corrine Brown has been indicted by the Department of Justice for wire fraud, theft of government property, filing false tax returns, etc., but now Buzzfeed is reporting that Brown has claimed that if the federal agents had not been investigating her they would have been able to prevent the Orlando massacre.
Per Buzzfeed, Brown also compared her indictment to the shootings in Dallas, Minnesota, and Louisiana.
So what does Senate candidate Patrick Murphy think about all of this? He is, after all, running to be the Democrats’ nominee for the Florida Senate race. Does he think that Brown should resign because of the indictment? If not, why not? Does he have anything to say about her wildly inappropriate comments assaulting the integrity of the FBI and comparing her indictment to deadly shootings?
We’d love to hear from the guy who probably wants to be treated as more than just a phony party boy with a fake resume and a fake network of donors.
“It’s time for Patrick Murphy to step up to the plate and show some leadership by calling on Corrine Brown to resign from Congress. Although, given Murphy’s blatant dishonesty, shady finances, and potential quid pro quo scandal, perhaps he approves of the way Corrine Brown does business.” – Senate Leadership Fund Spokesman Ian Prior
