Senate Leadership Fund Starts $8.1 Million Fall Ad Campaign in North Carolina

September 13, 2016

First Ad Shows Contrast Between Deborah Ross’s Education Rhetoric and Reality

WASHINGTON, DC — Today the Senate Leadership Fund began its $8.1 million fall television campaign in North Carolina with a new ad entitled “Tuition.”

The ad focuses on how former ACLU Director Deborah Ross repeatedly voted to make community college in North Carolina more expensive. This stands in stark contrast to her convenient campaign position of wanting “free community college.”

“Tuition” will begin airing today on statewide broadcast and cable, as well as on digital media.

“Despite her campaign rhetoric, the fact is Deborah Ross repeatedly voted to make college more expensive. Ross will spend the next two months trying to rebrand herself, but we’ll be right there to set the record straight.” – Senate Leadership Fund Spokesman Ian Prior
