The Senate Leadership Fund announced it is diving headfirst into five key Senate races in August, investing $21.3 million in new spending. The details of the new television and radio reservations were first reported exclusively by Politico, and can be found below:
- Arizona (through Defend Arizona): $1.9 million beginning 8/18
- Georgia: $6.6 million beginning 8/12
- Iowa: $4.1 million beginning 8/12
- Montana: $6.1 million beginning 8/12
- North Carolina: $2.6 million beginning 8/12
“The decisive defeat of Chuck Schumer’s candidate in the Kansas Republican primary last night was just the start of a relentless battle against the progressive left’s Senate takeover plan,” said SLF President Steven Law. “Now we’re about to make this the hottest August on record for Democrat Senate candidates who have all sworn allegiance to Chuck Schumer’s radical agenda.”
All of the new advertising will run until Labor Day, when SLF’s previously-scheduled buys in each of these states will begin. SLF has already reserved $90.7 million across eight states to begin after September 8.
According to Politico: “The August wave represents an earlier-than-expected launch for the super PAC, which had previously booked $90 million in ads set to run across the Senate map starting after Labor Day.”
