Today, the Senate Leadership Fund will report raising $37.5 million in the second quarter of 2022, bringing its cycle-to-date raised to a record $110.3 million and leaving it with a record $104.7 million cash on hand heading into campaign season. NBC News first reported the numbers.
SLF’s previous-best cash on hand at this point in the cycle was $97.3 million in 2020, a record-breaking cycle for the organization. SLF had raised $101.1 million cycle-to-date at the end of the second quarter in 2020, then an organizational record.
“These resources will help us level the playing field against well-funded Democrat opponents. Our donors know that winning the Senate not only slams the brakes on the Biden Administration’s disastrous economic policies, it also gives Republicans leverage in any future Supreme Court battles.” -SLF President Steven Law
